This is a magazine layout that I  deconstructed and rebuilt. The right side page is a three column and the left page is about 3/5 pictures and 2/5 sidebar. The titles and headers take up about 1/4 of the page, while the copy takes up the other 3/4 of the page. The pictures were scanned in and retouched in Photoshop.
The picture to the above is my rebuilt magazine layout and the picture below is a scan of the original.

All of this work is from my first semester as an art major. The works are from design one (2d design).
This was my project with different types of symmetry. The over all picture is crystiographic and each small square has one of five different typs of symmetry. This includes symmetrical, asymmetrical, imbalance, crystiographic, and radial.

This work was a picture of a house with a stair case leading upstairs with a dining room and hallway. The assignment was to recreate a new abstracted design. The use of line and shapes were to be used in recreating a picture.

This work is four squares that create different moods. Order, increase, bold, conjested, tension, and playful are the moods, respectively.

The assignment for this work was to take a photo and paint it experimenting with colors. The different styles are grayscale, monocromatic, triatic, split complemtary, and complementary.

This piece is experimenting with gray values and line. The word farmboy was written over and over again to produce different shades of gray to reproduce the photograph.

This painting was done to experiment with color. The design had to include a logo of some sort (LG logo) and some shapes had to be hidden using color and different values of the color.
